The 2026 High Street Home Accessories Edit.
This post gets updated every season. Bookmark it. Come back to it. Think of it as your running shortlist of the high street pieces that actually look expensive — the ones that earn a double-take and a "where's that from?"
No filler. No "it's nice enough." Every piece here passed a simple test: would it look at home in a boutique hotel, a Soho House lobby, or that one friend's flat where everything just works? If yes, it's in. If it's fine but forgettable, it's out.
Here's what's worth your money right now.
The Spring 2026 Mood
The high street has gone full Riviera this season. H&M Home's new collection is inspired by 1960s and 70s Mediterranean living — warm pinks, light neutrals, tactile materials, and a retro elegance that feels current rather than costume-y. M&S continues to quietly produce pieces that look like they walked out of Soho Home's catalogue. And Zara Home is doing what Zara Home always does: minimal, slightly architectural, annoyingly chic.
The common thread? Warm tones, natural materials, and pieces that feel handmade even when they're not. The clinical all-white look is officially over. Everything's getting softer, warmer, and more textured.
Living Room
The statement table lamp — M&S has been on a tear with lighting lately. Their ceramic and mushroom-shaped table lamps consistently look like Soho Home pieces at a tenth of the price. But my favourite - The Sophie Robinson Dunelm Light. It’s a little more expensive, but gives serious Pooky vibes. Put one on a sideboard or console table, and it anchors the whole room. Around £50-80
Sophie Robinson Table Lamp £85, Remi Table Lamp £55 (on sale), Ceramic Bobble Lamp £59
The textured throw — H&M Home Their wool-blend throws in warm neutrals are an annual staple for a reason. This season's addition of soft retro stripes nods to the 70s Riviera trend without being heavy-handed. Drape it over one arm of the sofa. Not folded. Not symmetrical. Casual. Around £70
Fringed Wool Blend Blanket £29.99, Wool Blend Blanket £79.99, Klippan Wool Blanket £85
The sculptural vase — Irregular forms that look like gallery pieces and bring new textures or a pop of colour into the room. Neutral colours create calm and edge. Style empty on a shelf or with a single dried stem — don't overcrowd it to get the Ibiza hotel vibes. Around £15-25
Zara Textured Ceramic Vase £19.99, M&S Striped Textured Vase £29.99, Dunelm Ceramic Pebble Vase £25
The coffee table book stack — Charity shops! Styling note: three books stacked on a coffee table cost you under £10 from a charity shop and do more for a room than any single accessory. Pick them for their covers, not their content. Cream, stone, and muted tones. No bright colours. Stack them liberally. Under £10
Bathroom
The ribbed cotton towels — H&M Home are still the best value towels on the high street. Thick, hotel-weight, and available in pinks, stones and warm white. Roll them, don't fold them. Stack three on a shelf or stool. Instant hotel energy. Around £9-15 each
H&M Striped Bath Towels £9.99, H&M Cotton Terry Bath Towels £12.99, H&M Waffled Bath Towel £12.99
The stoneware soap dispenser — Decant your soap into this and retire the plastic pump bottle permanently. The ribbed finish in warm beige is quiet, premium, and looks like it cost four times more. Dark glass is also a great option. Around £13
Little Crafts Amber Glass Dispensers £10, Dunelm Cream Ceramic Soap Dispenser £7, Next Natural Ribbed Soap Dispenser £12
The wooden bathroom accessories — This spring's dark wood storage pieces — think straw laundry basket, wooden trays, and organisers — are exactly the warm, rustic-luxe direction bathroom trends are heading in 2026. Practical and beautiful. Rare combination on the high street. From £13
H&M Seagrass Laundry Basket £24.99, Little Crafts London 3 section Tray £16.99, Dunelm Acacia Bath Tray £26
Kitchen
The olive wood chopping board — Lean two of these against the backsplash behind your hob. They're not for chopping — they're for architecture. The grain and warmth of olive wood makes any kitchen counter look designed.
Dusk Acacia £16, Dunelm Wood Chopping Board £11 or these Oliveology Boards for the full rustic feel at £20 each.
Glossy, coloured glasses — I love mixing up textures & colours when I have guests round. Coloured and shaped water and wine glasses are an easy way to elevate the table. They’re also perfect for open shelving or a kitchen counter vignette.
These set of 4 pink scalloped water glasses from Dusk are absolutely beautiful at £19, as are these La Redoute tumblers currently on sale (serious Murano glass vides) for £31.79 for a set of 6. Finally these George for Asda 4 stacking tumblers are the ultimate value at £10.
Mismatched bowls, cutlery & glasses — This is such an easy way to make your kitchen look authentic and lived in. The best thing to do is pick up ones you love from your travels - markets in France, Spain & Portugal never disappoint. Find a theme you like and collect from there, but if you need a starter kit, explore these links.
These Eleanor Bowmer Plates are bang on trend. £35 for 4. I use them as starter plates for dinner parties and have them already laid out when guests arrive. These Anthropologies Marley appetiser plates are giving serious ‘lunch on the Mediterranean’ vibes. £24 for 4. If it’s pastels you’re after, this set of 4 pasta bowls from Next will not disappoint. £34 for 4. Special mention for these Latte Stoneware Pasta Bowls, also from Anthropologie. £40 for 4.
Bedroom
The linen/muslin/scolloped bedding — H&M Home Linen bedding is the single fastest way to make a bedroom look expensive. H&M's washed linen duvet covers in warm neutral tones have the lived-in, luxury feel you see in every boutique hotel. They soften with every wash.
H&M Linen-blend Set £79.99, or this beautiful 100% cotton scolloped set for £49.99. Finally this dusty green muslin set at £69.99 is hard to say no to.
Small Bedside Wall Lights — Frees up space on your bedside table & instantly elevates the room. There are great rechargeable option ones nowadays, so you don’t need to do any drilling.
These Green Ryker lights from Next at £55, or a brass pair for £85, also from Next here. This Lucille light from Dusk is a classic, and at £40, you could swap out the shade for something more exciting. Etsy has a great selection.
A cosy demi-chair — Maybe it’s the Bridgerton in me, but small chairs in the corner of a bedroom are my go-to. Great for adding a pop of colour & if you’re like me you’re going to need somewhere to throw your clothes at the end of the day.
This deep berry Joan chair from M&S is currently on sale for £89.99, so I need to tell you to rush for a real find. Staying on the pink these, this Cult chair at £279 is also fab. If Pink is not for you, this Fallon woven edge chair from Dunelm at £299 will bring a nice edge to your interior style, but staying neutral in the process.
The "One Piece That Changes Everything" List
Sometimes you don't need a full edit. You need one thing that shifts the energy of a room. Here are the five best single-item upgrades on the high street right now:
A new mirror — Wavy, arched and round mirrors completely transform a hallway, bathroom, or above a console table. I’m a die-hard wavy mirror fan, and love the one I have in my bedroom.
The Range do a great full length wavy mirror, a steal at £59. I also love this Sage arched mirror, also from The Range at £99. If you’re looking for a more classic round mirror, you can’t go wrong with this brushed metal effect mirror from Dunelm at £39.
Statement cushions — I love to mix & match them for the boho vibe. Pick a theme or a colour palette and go from there. Build them up over time. Next have a great selection, but don’t overthink it.
Next Maximalist cushion at £28, Daals Eliza striped cushion at £26.99, or these at Etsy from £16 would look great thrown together.
Trays — Marble, stone, wood, rattan or ceramic. Put it on the coffee table, the vanity, or the kitchen counter. It makes everything on it look intentional.
Dunelm is my go-to. You can’t go wrong with this Sophie Robinson design at £28 to add a pop of colour. If calm and minimalist is more for you, this Maddox tray is a steal at £12, and has other finishes. Otherwise reach for Rattan with this White Wash Tray at £10.
Fresh eucalyptus — From your local florist or Tesco. One bunch in a simple glass vase. Costs under £5 and makes any bathroom or kitchen smell and look like a spa. Replace weekly.
What's Not Worth It Right Now
Being honest saves you money, so here's what to skip this season:
Cheap scented candles from the high street — H&M and Dunelm candles often look great but the scent throw is weak. Spend slightly more on Zara Home or M&S for candles you can actually smell.
Anything "on trend" in a colour you don't love — Warm pink is everywhere this spring. If it's not your palette, don't force it. The point of The Luxe Memo is buying pieces that work in YOUR home, not someone else's mood board.
Anything flimsy — If you pick it up and it feels hollow, light, or plasticky, put it back. The whole point of buying high street over designer is value — but only if the quality holds up.
